Romană Gallery opens on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM, the painting exhibition by artist Ion Pacea, entitled “Section through a Studio”.
Ion Pacea is well known for his lyrical landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and abstract compositions, created in a modernist style with post-impressionist influences. His works are distinguished by a subtle color, compositional balance and poetic refinement.
Ion Pacea (1924-1999) graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, where he had as teachers some of the most important artists and educators of the time: Camil Ressu, Corneliu Baba, Alexandru Ciucurencu, and Jean Alexandru Steriadi, all of whom had a major influence on his artistic training. He was a member of the Union of Fine Artists of Romania. Winner of numerous national and international art awards, Ion Pacea’s works are in important museum and private collections.
The exhibition will also be accompanied by a printed catalog and is open from June 4 to 30, 2025.
