The New MNAC Spring—Summer Exhibition Season

Wednesday, May 14, 2025, between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, the new MNAC Spring—Summer exhibition season will be inaugurated, with two new exhibitions.

On the third and fourth floors, APOCALIPSIS CUM FIGURIS opens, a personal exhibition by Valentin Scarlatescu, curated by Calin Dan, while the Auditorium Hall will host the exhibition KAZIMIR MALEVICH – SURVIVALS, which brings together works created by the artist between 1912–1916, as well as a selection of works from the MNAC collection, which reflect the influence of Suprematism on the Romanian art scene.

The exhibition THE TWIST. FAILING EMPIRES, TRIUMPHANT PROVINCES, curated by Călin Dan together with Celia Ghyka, can still be viewed on the ground floor of the museum and in the Marble Hall.

The exhibition PARALLEL LINES. AVATARS OF MODERNITY IN CROATIA 1949—1998, on the first floor of the museum, curated by Branko Franceschi, is extended for another exhibition season.

On the second floor, within the multi-disciplinary project LEVIATHAN. IN THE GUTS OF THE COLLECTION, the temporary exhibition GOLDEN AGE is taking place, bringing to the public’s attention a selection of propaganda posters from the 1980s, from the MNAC Collection.
