Starting from the oral history archive coordinated by the writer Smaranda Vultur, a multidisciplinary group of artists recontextualizes the history of the Politehnica University of Timișoara canteen, evoking its role as a subversive space during the anti-communist riots of Timișoara students in 1956. A new landmark of memory in public space, the traveling exhibition “Ne/Re-văzut”, a multimedia digital project with sound and 3D animations in augmented reality, will be opened on Tuesday, October 22, from 5 p.m., at the Central University Library “Eugen Todoran” in Timișoara.
NARATIVE is a platform dedicated to expression and experiment, supporting and promoting emerging artists and transdisciplinary projects at the intersection of arts and related fields. The group aims to integrate elements of research and education in the artistic process as a dialogue platform for various creative languages while facilitating the access of various cultural actors to the communities. Among the association’s guiding principles are curiosity, the desire to explore new languages and territories of expression, and prioritizing the creative process to create spaces for critical thinking. Narative facilitates inclusive dialogue and mediates between different viewpoints and social narratives, aiming to create and strengthen creative communities. The Narative Association was created by a group of artists with complementary languages, Cinty Ionescu, video designer, Laurențiu Bănescu, theater and film actor, and Peca Ștefan, playwright and screenwriter.
