A Line is more than a Sign. Group show at Laborna Gallery

The collective exhibition “A Line is more than a Sign”, opened at the Laborna Gallery from June 4 – 20, brought together the works of Polish artists Jacek Szewczyk, Christopher Nowicki and Sebastian Łubiński.

A Line is more than a Sign is a concept that focuses on the importance of technique and vision connected with an essential part of the drawing family – the engraving.

Three Polish artists, form different generations, have been invited in this project: Jacek Szewczyk, Christopher Nowicki și Sebastian Łubiński. All of them are professors at Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Art and Design, Wroclaw, Poland. The great quality of Polish school of engraving is world wide recognised and we reserved a special room to each of them in Laborna Gallery’s exhibition.
The year 2024 is dedicated in our gallery to a special artistic research subject – the drawing.” Ciprian Paleologu – curator.
