The first edition of the RAD Design Fair – part of the RAD Art Fair – was curated by Adela Maria Marius, the founder of the Epretext design gallery in Timisoara.

The event, entitled “WITH OR WITHOUT POETRY, WITH OR WITHOUT FUNCTION”, brought together more than 20 international artists in a collection design exhibition and was complemented by two public debates hosted in the space of the RAD Design Garden.

RAD DESIGN PARTICIPANTS were: Dear Avraam, Etienne Bastormagi, Henry Baumann, Lorena Cocioni, Paul Coenen, Carsten in der Elst, Studio Guilty, Serb Ionescu, Pauline Leprince, Mantas Lesauskas, Shinji Murakami, Vlad Nanca, Sho Ota, Crina Arghirescu Rogard, Yoon Shun, Tim Teven, So That, WOW, Atelier V&F, Johan Viladrich and Ward Wijnant.

RAD ART FAIR, one of the most important events dedicated to the contemporary art market in Romania, took place this year between May 16 and 19 at CARO Bucharest. The second edition featured 26 contemporary art galleries from Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, Frankfurt, and Vienna, which exhibited over 90 artists. The fair included three distinct sections: RAD Design, Sculpture Park, and RAD Talks.
