Elite Art Gallery is hosting the personal exhibition of Ștefan Doru Moscu, suggestively titled “Life Together”, curated by Ioana Mirică. The exhibition includes a series of works that explore the subject of family, unaltered by the filters that distort its pure form.
Family life profoundly influences the creative process of the painter Ștefan Doru Moscu; the artist explores the theme of family through scenes from everyday life and deep interactions. Thus, as the artist himself testifies, the exhibition “becomes a place of reflection and connection for visitors, offering them the opportunity to find themselves in the joys and challenges of family life in a modern context and, at the same time, offers the chance to appreciate the beauty of the uniqueness of each personal journey”.
Like a historiographer, the artist takes inventory of the moments that will set, but that will slip on the trajectory of memories. Preserving the family structure in a stop-frame, the artist protects his own home through his presence in his absence. In this way, looking to the future, the most tender moments will bring spiritual fulfilment to the parental binomial.
Ștefan Doru Moscu (b. 1982) is a contemporary visual artist who graduated in visual arts from the Conservation and Restoration section of the “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu. His works have gone beyond Romania’s borders through exhibitions found in countries such as Qatar, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain and Poland. Also, Ștefan Doru Moscu participated in several artistic residencies in the country, Slovakia, and Belgium. The artist is not at the first exhibition in the Elite Art Gallery, as he is one of the winners of the #FRESH contest, the 4th edition, a project that aims to promote young artists. Thus, in 2022, the artist’s works were part of the “Structure / Figure” group exhibition.
The exhibition “Life Together” can be visited until May 3, from Monday to Friday, at the Elite Art Gallery (Piața Naționile Unite, no. 3-5) between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
