“Emergencies”, a double solo show by Lia & Dan Perjovschi

Brașov Art Museum invites you to the opening of the “Emergencies/Urgențe” exhibition, a double solo show presenting the creations of Lia and Dan Perjovschi. The event occurs on March 12, 2024, at 6:00 PM.

Lia and Dan Perjovschi, born in 1961 in Sibiu, have an extensive art career and have exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions and festivals.

The exhibition highlights the artistic research of the two contemporary creators over the past 35 years. Under the titles “Survival Kit” and “Press Stress”, Lia and Dan Perjovschi explore distinct and complex perspectives on the contemporary world.
In the section “Press Stress”, Dan Perjovschi assembles the worlds-pages of the press into a puzzle of today’s society. Here, the world is changing, and the printed media is disappearing, but the stress remains constant. Through his creation, the artist offers a deep perspective on social changes and the impact of the information environment on everyday life.

The exhibition space, transformed into a huge mental map, is organized by Lia Perjovschi around some thematic cores that address specific topics of the 21st century.
“Survival Kit” offers a bird’s eye view of the current century, discussing humanity, alienation and various survival strategies. In an inventory of the present tense, themes such as climate change, globalization and technological developments become parts of a huge puzzle.

The exhibition will be open to the public from March 13 to April 30, 2024, Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Address: The Brașov Art Museum, Bulevardul Eroilor no. 21.
