Brăteanu Gallery in Timișoara presents the personal exhibition of the artist Adrian Sandu, entitled about nature, people and concrete.
“The exhibition about nature, people and concrete refers to the reality of the years after the Covid-19 pandemic, an interval that I feel on a pessimistic-critical note. Maybe I belong somewhat in the category of militant artists, critical of the society I belong to, in an attempt to boost it through the way I understand and see everyday reality.
I always work with the line. I am fascinated by the simplicity and expression of a line, I am inspired by the immediate social reality, from environments such as the workplace, the family, the city where I live, the virtual environment, etc.
I chose to express myself through the engraving technique (etching and aquatint) in the execution of the works because it is my soul technique that I learned during my student years and then developed in my later work.” Adrian Sandu describes the proposed artistic approach.
The opening will occur on Thursday, January 11, from 18:00, with the opening speech by Mr. Prof. Univ. Marcel Tolcea.
The exhibition can be visited until January 31, between 9 am and 5 pm.
